Happy 12/12/12!

It’s become a bit of a tradition here to post on repeating dates since I started the blog on 08/08/08! And i’ve tried to make sure I update every year since so hence this update even though it’s been quiet here for far too long! I was hoping to do a monster post or best of 2012 but between getting Christmas orders ready and battling this “dose”, I am about done out. There’s still time before the end of the year but in the meantime, I will leave you with this ad that appeared in the local papers today. Don’t forget, gift vouchers are available for all your special occasions through out the year. čÖé

You can catch up with what I’ve been up to HERE!

Summer!

I’ve been a very bad blogger, haven’t I? Let me assure you, I haven’t dropped off the face of the earth (although it sometimes feels like I’m buried under mountains of editing!). I do update my facebook page a little bit more regularly, so please head over for a peek. čÖé

In the meantime, a few bits from the last few months.

Shelley and Clive, a sneak peek!

How’s that for a happy bunch? čÖé

One of the loveliest weddings I’ve had the privilege of being a small part of, it was a gorgeous day with a wonderful couple and here is their sneak peek.

Thank you, Shelley and Clive!

And I’ll end with a bit of Shelley, Percy that is, for Shelley.

“See, the mountains kiss high heaven,
And the waves clasp one another;
No sister flower could be forgiven
If it disdained its brother;
And the sunlight clasps the earth,
And the moonbeams kiss the sea;–
What are all these kissings worth,
If thou kiss not me?”

Max and Anna Marie, a Winter Handfasting

Why would I shoot a wedding during the worst winter in the last 10 years with the most deplorable driving conditions AND 37 weeks pregnant? Well, for the love of, well, love… What else?

Max asked me to help with his wedding photographs a few months back and knowing how late in the game I would be by the time it rolled around, I made no promises, but boy was I glad to be part of their wonderful day. The ceremony was a traditional handfasting and it was held at Markree Castle in Co Sligo. Very intimate and very personal, it was a great experience. I hope these have done their day some justice!

Til next post, bye!

In the flush of love’s light we dare be brave…

And suddenly we see
that love costs all we are
and will ever be.
Yet it is only love
which sets us free.

I am only just going through the photos from Karen and Ronan’s amazing wedding. So, this isn’t so much a sneak peek as a sneak! Check back for more of this beautiful bride. Oh, and the groom too. čśë

Michelle and Pauric

Another one from the wedding. I know it’s a little bit soft, but I really like the interaction with the camera and how they look so happy and relaxed.

I really have to make an effort to update my blog daily. But, as you know, life gets in the way sometimes. I also need advice on my workflow, so disorganised at the moment! But I’m getting there. I am.

So a positive quote to end the day as it’s almost midnight, “Motivation is a fire from within. If someone else tries to light that fire under you, chances are it will burn very briefly.”

EDIT: this photo was printed on the front page of the Donegal Times on 27 August 2008. How stoked am i??? čÖé
